Overview
The days of command-and-control leadership as a standard way of managing people are long gone. When managers adopt a coaching mindset and approach it improves employee’s motivation levels, performance, and boosts satisfaction with both their job and manager. In other words, great managers are now defined by their desire and ability to grow the people around them.
In this program, you will learn to identify coaching opportunities and which coaching style to use. You’ll learn to use the GROW model to provide successful coaching conversations as well as have the opportunity to practice key coaching skills including listening and questioning. You’ll also learn how to deliver honest feedback in a motivating manner, create action-focused development plans, address resistance to coaching and change, and create a climate for self-motivation in the workplace. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to practice coaching in real-life situations with other class participants.
A coaching culture is the practice that’s most highly correlated with business performance, employee engagement, and overall retention.
