Billing / Payment

Register online or by phone. To register online, go to the course finder, click the course name, select the date you would like to attend, and follow the instructions. By phone call 800-292-8964 to speak with customer service.

Payment is accepted prior to the start of the course in U.S. dollars by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), or check. Payment may be made online from the course page, or sent via postal mail (address below, make checks payable to Center for Professional and Executive Development). Please contact us for information about wire transfers 800-292-8964.

Tuition and all session materials; daily breakfast; lunch; break food; non-alcoholic beverages; and dinner the evening before the course and on all subsequent days, except the last day. Please contact your course program coordinator about special dietary needs. Parking and lodging fees are not included.

Our courses are non-credit and, therefore, not eligible for financial aid.

Discounts do not apply for coaching services.

The WI GI Bill is for use with for-credit courses. Because our courses are non-credit, the WI GI Bill cannot be used for our programming

Substitutes (give your seat to another person):

  • Must receive substitution request in writing via email or postal mail
  • Allowed at any time before the start of the session at no additional cost

Transfer (switch registration from current session to future session):

  • Must receive transfer request in writing via email or postal mail
  • 3 weeks or more prior to the first day of the course – no transfer fee
  • Less than 3 weeks to the first day of the course - $250*
  • Only one transfer per person per course
  • *Additional transfer fees will apply after the first transfer regardless of when it is requested

Cancellation:

  • Must receive cancellation request in writing via email or postal mail
  • 3 weeks or more prior to the first day of the course – full refund
  • Less than 3 weeks to the day before the start of the course - $500
  • First day or non-attendance - no refund

Seminars:

  • Substitutions may be made at no additional cost.
  • Full refund if cancellation is received within 5 business days for the seminar starts, minus a $15 service fee.

Please read your course registration welcome letter for details. Some courses require pre-work, like articles to read or videos to watch before the course starts. If pre-work is required, you will receive an email with details about it a week or two prior to the course start date.

Some courses may require 30-60 minutes of reading. In other situations there may be group assignments or optional sessions. Details can be found in the course description.

Although our courses are not eligible for credit in undergraduate or graduate degrees, participants receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Recognition of participation is given at the end of each course. In addition, participants can earn Certificates of Professional Development demonstrating attendance in a series of courses designed to provide a body of knowledge.

When either is required, it will be listed in the course description. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Fluno Center and Pyle Center (please request a free password at the front desk at the Pyle Center).

Up to seven years. On average, most people complete a certificate in 3 years.

We offer one course online in the Six Sigma business process improvement topic area, "Quantitative Methods for Process Improvement"

Our professional development courses and certificates are classroom-based, instructor-led learning, which is widely accepted as the best option to grow knowledge and skills. Participants benefit from multidimensional, interactive learning, presentation, demonstration, practice, and peer networking.

The Fluno Center is the course lodging provider and a premier, full-service, award-winning facility ideally located near every place you want to visit in Madison. Make a reservation online or call 608-441-7117. Additional accommodations for the Madison area are available at visitmadison.com.

Underground parking is located at the Fluno Center in Lot 83. Enter from Frances St. between E. Johnson St. and University Ave. This University of Wisconsin-managed garage is available to the public for $15.00 per day. Parking fees are not included in the price of course enrollment.

If your session is at another location, review the interactive campus parking map. Additional public parking facilities are within walking distance to the Fluno Center. If you have any questions about parking, please contact the Fluno Center at 877-77-FLUNO or direct 608-441-7117.

Dane County Regional Airport, on Madison’s northeast side, provides regional and national air service to and from Madison. There is a taxi stand at the airport and car rental services.

From Minneapolis or Green Bay (north)

From I-39/90/94 or Hwy. 51 at Madison/Sun Prairie area, take Hwy. 151 south toward the State Capitol. Follow Hwy. 151 (E. Washington Ave.) about five miles. One block before the Capitol, turn right on Webster St. Follow this about three blocks as it curves and changes names. Turn right on Wisconsin Ave. Go two blocks and turn left on Gorham St. This one-way street becomes University Ave. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) campus. Watch for your destination on your left at Frances St.

From Dubuque (west)

Take Hwy. 151 north to Madison. Go under the Beltline (Hwys. 12/14/18/151) and angle left on Midvale Blvd. Follow Midvale Blvd. about three miles to where it ends at University Ave. Turn right and take University Ave. as it becomes Campus Dr. then Johnson St. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) campus. Watch for your destination on your left at Frances St.

From Chicago (south)

Take I-90 to Madison. Exit Hwy. 12/18 west. Follow Hwy. 12/18 (Beltline Hwy.) for about six miles. Exit at Park St. (Hwy. 151 north). Turn right on Park St. and go north about two miles to the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) campus. Turn right on Johnson St. Turn left on Frances St. Fluno Center is on your left before University Ave.

From Milwaukee (east)

Take I-94 to where it intersects with I-90, and follow the signs for Hwy. 30 into Madison. Exit at Hwy. 151 (E. Washington Ave.) toward the State Capitol. Follow E. Washington Ave. about three miles. One block before the Capitol, turn right on Webster St. Follow this street about three blocks as it curves (and changes names).
